Hook

Hook is a beat 'em up game developed and published by Irem, released for the arcade in 1993. This arcade title brings the adventure of the popular film to the coin-op scene.

In Hook, you play as Peter Banning, a father who must reclaim his lost identity and rescue his children from the clutches of the villainous Captain Hook. The game unfolds as a side-scrolling adventure where you progress through various sections of Neverland. Your primary way of dealing with the waves of enemies consists of basic melee attacks, punches, and kicks. The character can also utilize a sword for more effective combat.

Throughout your journey in Hook, you will encounter different types of enemies, including pirates and various creatures native to Neverland. Finding and using different weapons, such as knives or other items encountered on the ground, can add variety to your offense and help clear tougher areas.
