Puzzle Bobble

Puzzle Bobble is a tile-matching arcade puzzle game developed by Taito. It first appeared in arcades during the mid-1990s, bringing a colorful and accessible puzzle experience to players.

The core gameplay involves controlling a pointer at the bottom of the screen to aim a bubble launcher. You fire bubbles upwards, and they stick to the ceiling, connecting with other bubbles. When you make a connection of three or more bubbles of the same color, they pop and disappear. Any bubbles that were only attached to the popped ones will also fall. The primary objective is to clear all the bubbles from the screen. If the bubbles descend too far and reach the bottom line of the playfield, the game ends.

Players must carefully consider their shots, often aiming for specific colors or trying to create situations where popping one group will cause others to fall. The game presents a sequence of stages, each starting with a different arrangement of bubbles. Successfully clearing a stage allows you to advance to the next. Puzzle Bobble's straightforward mechanics combined with the challenge of managing the descending bubbles formed its signature gameplay.
