In Super R.B.I. Baseball, you take control of every aspect of a baseball game. When batting, you position your player in the batter's box, timing your swing with the A button as the pitcher throws. You can adjust your stance slightly and swing for power or contact. On the mound, you choose your pitch type using the Y button and aim it with the D-pad before releasing it. Fielding involves moving your players with the D-pad to catch fly balls or grounders, and throwing to bases with the A button to get outs.
Running the bases is managed by pressing X to advance or Y to attempt a steal. The game features eight teams, allowing you to select your favorite and play through a league schedule, aiming to win enough games to reach the postseason and ultimately win the championship.
