R.B.I. Baseball

R.B.I. Baseball is a baseball simulation game developed and published by Tengen. It was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987.

In R.B.I. Baseball, you take on the role of managing and playing a baseball game. The focus is on the fundamental actions of the sport. When your team is batting, you position your batter and time your swing to hit the ball. On defense, you select where to pitch the ball and then maneuver your fielders to catch batted balls and throw them to bases. Successfully advancing runners around the bases leads to scoring runs, and the objective is to outscore the opponent over nine innings.

The game presents a straightforward representation of professional baseball, featuring teams that are loosely based on Major League Baseball rosters from the era. Players can choose between playing against the computer or another person, simulating a full game or a series of matchups. The presentation is from a side-view perspective during gameplay, showing the pitcher, batter, and fielders in action.
