About Puyo Puyo Sun 64
Puyo Puyo Sun 64 is a puzzle game that arrived on the Nintendo 64 during the late 1990s, continuing the series' tradition of competitive block-matching action.
The core of Puyo Puyo Sun 64 involves dropping pairs of colored Puyos onto a rectangular grid. When four or more Puyos of the same color touch each other, they disappear. You can rotate and move the falling pairs as they descend to set up chains of Puyos.
Clearing Puyos in quick succession creates chains, which send 'garbage' Puyos to your opponent's screen. These garbage Puyos have a black background and cannot be cleared until a Puyo or group of Puyos adjacent to them is cleared first. The goal in a match is to make your opponent's screen fill up with Puyos all the way to the top.
Puyo Puyo Sun 64 features various modes, including a story mode where you face characters with unique Puyo-dropping patterns, and Vs. Mode for head-to-head competition. The game's vibrant presentation and straightforward yet deep mechanics make each match a distinct challenge.
