How to play Puyo Puyo Fever
You move the falling Puyos left or right using the D-pad, and can speed up their descent by pressing down. Button A rotates the Puyo pair clockwise, while Button B rotates them counter-clockwise. The L and R buttons can also be used for rotation.
About Puyo Puyo Fever
Puyo Puyo Fever is a vibrant puzzle game that arrived in the early 2000s, finding a home on the Game Boy Advance.
The core gameplay of Puyo Puyo Fever centers around dropping pairs of colored blobs, called Puyos, onto the screen. When four or more Puyos of the same color connect adjacently, either horizontally or vertically, they disappear. Any Puyos of the same color connected to the cleared group also vanish. This mechanic allows for chain reactions, where clearing one set of Puyos causes others to fall into place and form new matches, often leading to larger clears. Successfully clearing Puyos sends 'junk' Puyos to your opponent's side of the screen, which are obstacles that can only be removed by making adjacent Puyos disappear.
A key feature in Puyo Puyo Fever is the 'Fever Mode.' This special state is triggered when you successfully build up chains. Once activated, a pre-set arrangement of Puyos appears on your board, and you have a short window to clear them all, which results in a powerful, automatic chain reaction. The game also includes a story mode where you progress through a series of opponents, each with their own visual style and difficulty, making the competitive puzzle action of Puyo Puyo Fever a journey through a colorful world.
