Use the directional buttons to move the falling Puyo pairs left or right, and rotate them. Pressing down or a dedicated button speeds up their descent.
About Puyo Puyo Box
Puyo Puyo Box is a falling block puzzle game that made its mark on the PlayStation.
In Puyo Puyo Box, your goal is to clear the screen by matching groups of colored 'Puyo' blobs. You guide pairs of these blobs as they fall from the top of the screen. By rotating them and positioning them, you aim to get four or more of the same color touching each other. When this happens, they pop and disappear.
The real challenge in Puyo Puyo Box comes from setting up consecutive clears, known as chains. If a Puyo lands next to a space where others have just been cleared, it can connect to remaining Puyos, triggering a new group to pop. Successfully clearing groups of Puyos sends 'garbage' Puyos, which have a black border, to your opponent's playfield. These garbage Puyos can only be cleared if they are adjacent to a normal Puyo when it pops.
Mastering the art of chaining Puyos is key to overwhelming your opponent in Puyo Puyo Box, turning your cleared spaces into attacks.
