About Martial Masters
Martial Masters is a 2D fighting game that arrived in arcades in 1993. Developed by Data East, it brought a roster of diverse martial artists to the competitive scene, challenging players on the arcade cabinet.
As you play Martial Masters, you pick one of the available fighters, each with their own unique fighting style and special techniques. The gameplay centers on close-quarters combat, where you must master a sequence of punches, kicks, and blocks. Landing hits and performing special moves depletes your opponent's health bar, with the goal being to win two out of three rounds to advance through the arcade ladder.
Success in Martial Masters requires understanding the range and timing of your character's attacks, as well as anticipating your opponent's actions. The game features a cast of characters distinct from one another, from quick strikers to powerful grapplers, offering different approaches to combat.
