Donkey Kong Country is a platformer developed by Rare and published by Nintendo, first appearing in the mid-1990s. This Game Boy Color iteration brings the classic adventure to a portable format.

In Donkey Kong Country, you control Donkey Kong or his nephew, Diddy Kong, on a quest to recover their stolen banana hoard from King K. Rool and his Kremling Krew. Gameplay involves navigating through a series of vibrant levels set across jungles, caves, factories, and icy terrains. You'll primarily use running and jumping to traverse the environments, while also employing a roll attack to defeat enemies or break through certain obstacles. The game challenges you with precise platforming, timing your jumps across moving platforms, avoiding hazards like fireballs and spikes, and confronting mini-bosses and the final confrontation with King K. Rool.
