How to play Sonic CD
Navigate Sonic through the levels using the D-pad. Press the B button to jump and the C button to perform a spin dash or spin attack. Holding the C button while running charges the spin dash.
About Sonic CD
Sonic CD is a 1993 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Sega CD console.
You take on the role of Sonic the Hedgehog, tasked with saving Little Planet from Dr. Robotnik's scheme to harness its temporal energy. This installment introduces a time travel mechanic: by reaching high speeds in specific zones, you can enter Past versions of the levels. Finding and destroying the 'Wacky Workbench' or 'Stardust Speedway' in its past state helps alter the future, making subsequent versions of these zones safer and leading to a better outcome.
Beyond the standard platforming and speed, Sonic CD features unique boss battles and requires you to collect all the Time Stones scattered across the zones to achieve the true ending. The challenging level design often involves finding hidden paths and mastering Sonic's momentum, especially when executing the Spin Dash to break through obstacles or gain speed for time travel.
