Mega Man IV

Mega Man IV is an action-platformer developed and published by Capcom, originally released for the Game Boy in 1993.

As Mega Man, you're tasked with stopping Dr. Wily's latest scheme. The game features the familiar run-and-gun gameplay where you navigate through linear stages, jumping over obstacles and shooting enemies with your Mega Buster. Defeating the main Robot Master bosses at the end of each stage grants you their unique weapon, which can be switched to and used against other enemies and bosses, often proving more effective. You can also slide to dodge attacks and fit through tight passages.

Mega Man IV introduces a new challenge with the 'Mega Man Killer' robots, who serve as mid-stage bosses. Additionally, the game features a system where you collect parts to assemble the 'Mega Arm,' a chargeable weapon that can fire powerful projectiles. The progression involves clearing a set of stages, confronting Dr. Wily's forces, and ultimately confronting the mad scientist himself.

The Game Boy version of Mega Man IV presents a compact yet satisfying experience, adapting the core mechanics of the series to the handheld hardware. Players will find themselves strategizing weapon usage and timing their jumps and slides carefully through each level.
