Designed to compete with Nintendo's Game Boy, the Neo Geo Pocket brought SNK's signature fighting games to a portable format. The system was highly regarded for its solid build quality and responsive controls, particularly its microswitched joystick, offering a superior gaming experience.
While the original Neo Geo Pocket had a brief lifespan, its color successor achieved moderate success, especially among fighting game enthusiasts who cherished portable versions of popular series like Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters.
