Mega Man 8

Mega Man 8 is a classic action-platformer that first appeared on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in the late 1990s. You once again step into the Blue Bomber's boots to stop Dr. Wily's latest scheme. The game structure lets you choose from a set of Robot Masters' stages, each presenting unique platforming challenges and enemy layouts. As you progress through these vibrant 32-bit levels, you’ll blast through robotic legions using Mega Man’s signature Mega Buster, which can be charged for more powerful shots. Upon defeating a Robot Master, you acquire their special weapon, adding it to your arsenal for strategic use against other bosses and common enemies alike.

Mega Man 8 brought some notable advancements to the series as it transitioned to 32-bit graphics with incredibly smooth sprites. The game features full voice acting and animated anime cutscenes, giving characters more presence. You’ll encounter new allies and enemies, including the powerful alien robot Duo, and can utilize a new default weapon called the Mega Ball. Notably, this entry removed the classic E-Tanks, requiring players to rely more on skill. Instead, you collect hidden Bolts to visit Dr. Light's lab and purchase upgrades for Mega Man’s buster capabilities and armor, altering your approach to tough sections.
