Lego Harry Potter: Years 5–7 is a Lego-themed action-adventure game developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, released around the time of the final Harry Potter films.

In this installment, you step into the shoes of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger to re-experience the dramatic events from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix through to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. The game takes you through key moments, from Dumbledore's Army meetings in the Room of Requirement to the epic final battle at Hogwarts. You cast spells like 'Stupefy' to defend yourself or 'Wingardium Leviosa' to manipulate Lego objects, often needing to combine character abilities to progress through story-driven levels and discover hidden collectibles.

The Nintendo DS version utilizes the dual screens for gameplay, often displaying character information or inventory on the bottom screen while the main action unfolds on the top. You'll use the stylus for precise aiming of spells and interacting with elements in the environment. The game also features the characteristic Lego humor, with characters breaking apart into studs when defeated and plenty of visual gags to find as you explore iconic settings like Grimmauld Place, the Ministry of Magic, and Hogsmeade.

Throughout Lego Harry Potter: Years 5–7, your primary goal is to follow the narrative of the books and films, solving environmental puzzles by building Lego structures, casting spells to break objects or activate mechanisms, and engaging in light combat against Death Eaters and other magical creatures. Unlocking new characters and special abilities is key to accessing all the secrets scattered throughout the game world.
