In Double Dragon Advance, you step into the shoes of martial arts brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee. Your primary goal is to navigate through various city districts and enemy territories to rescue your kidnapped girlfriend, Marian, from the notorious Black Warriors gang. The gameplay focuses on side-scrolling combat where you'll face off against a constant stream of diverse enemy types. You'll use a combination of punches, kicks, and jumps to overcome them, often needing to employ specific strategies for different opponents.

The combat system in Double Dragon Advance allows for more than just basic attacks.
