Twisted Metal 2

Twisted Metal 2 is a vehicular combat game developed by SingleTrac and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, released for the PlayStation in 1996.

In Twisted Metal 2, you take the wheel of a variety of souped-up vehicles, each equipped with machine guns and a unique special weapon. Your goal is to survive a series of demolition derbies set across distinct, often hazardous, arenas. You'll navigate these environments, from the rooftops of New York City to the icy plains of Siberia, using your vehicle's weapons to take down rival drivers. Successfully destroying enemies progresses you through the tournament ladder.

Gameplay involves managing your vehicle's health, collecting power-ups like missiles and armor, and strategically using your weapons. Each vehicle has its own feel and attack style; for instance, the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck can deploy a flamethrower, while the Spectre car can fire homing missiles. The arenas themselves present challenges, with destructible elements and environmental hazards that can be used against opponents or become obstacles. You'll be constantly maneuvering and firing, trying to avoid incoming fire while lining up your own shots.

You are tasked with defeating a series of opponents across multiple stages, each culminating in a boss battle. The ultimate goal in Twisted Metal 2 is to defeat the enigmatic Calypso and have your wish granted, though his motives are always suspect.
