About The Legend of Dragoon
The Legend of Dragoon is a role-playing game that came out in the late 1990s for the original PlayStation.
The story follows Dart Feld, who gets caught up in a war against the oppressive Black Castle and its armies. As the narrative progresses, Dart and his friends uncover the power of the ancient Dragoons, individuals who could transform into powerful warriors. Combat in The Legend of Dragoon uses a turn-based system where correctly timed button presses in 'Additions' allow characters to land multiple hits and build up magic points. These points are used for casting spells or, more importantly, for changing into their Dragoon forms.
These Dragoon transformations are a key element of The Legend of Dragoon, giving characters access to special elemental attacks and changing their looks. Each Dragoon spirit has its own advantages and disadvantages, adding a tactical layer to difficult battles.
