Pandemonium! centers on the accidental destruction of a village caused by a magical mishap involving Nikki, an acrobat, and Fargus, an eccentric jester. The protagonists embark on a quest to locate the Wishing Engine, a powerful artifact capable of undoing the catastrophe and restoring their home to its original state.

The gameplay in Pandemonium! utilizes a 2.5D perspective, restricting character movement to a fixed path within three-dimensional environments.
