Overblood

Overblood is a survival horror adventure game released for the PlayStation in 1996.

You awaken as L.A., a character with amnesia, inside a locked-down, futuristic research facility. A voice informs you that you have a limited amount of time before the facility self-destructs. Your primary objective is to navigate the environment. This involves moving through corridors, opening doors, and interacting with objects scattered throughout the facility. Overblood focuses on exploration and piecing together what happened to you and the facility.

Gameplay in Overblood centers on exploration, puzzle-solving, and inventory management. You will find various items, from keys and tools to medical supplies and puzzle components, throughout the facility. Managing your limited inventory space is essential for progress. Puzzles often require finding specific items or figuring out sequences of actions to proceed. While combat is present, it is often secondary to puzzle-solving and evasion, with limited resources.

The constant countdown timer adds a layer of pressure to every action you take as you attempt to escape Overblood.
