Moemon Black 2 is a comprehensive Nintendo DS ROM hack created by Septentrion, built upon the foundation of Pokémon Black 2. The core feature of this hack is the complete replacement of all standard Pokémon sprites with 'Moemon'—anthropomorphized, anime-style girls cosplaying as the beloved creatures. The term 'Moemon' itself is a blend of the Japanese word 'moe' (meaning cute or budding) and 'mon', bringing a completely fresh and charming visual aesthetic to the Unova region.

Designed with completionists in mind, the game makes all Pokémon obtainable without the need for trading. Trade evolutions have been completely replaced with new methods, and all necessary evolution items can now be conveniently purchased at Shopping Mall Nine. The National Dex is unlocked right from the start, and shiny hunters will be thrilled by the massively increased shiny encounter rate of 1/257, alongside a higher ratio of female encounters.

The hack also removes several frustrating version restrictions. Players now have access to both Black City and White Forest, as well as both the Iron Chamber and Iceberg Chamber within a single save file. Furthermore, the game’s difficulty options—Easy Mode and Challenge Mode—are unlocked right from the beginning as soon as you receive your starter Moemon, allowing you to tailor the experience to your preferred playstyle.
