The narrative involves Lan and MegaMan.exe investigating a series of escalating cybercrimes orchestrated by a new, dangerous organization, leading them through various network areas and challenging boss encounters. The game encourages players to experiment with different chip combinations and battle strategies to overcome increasingly difficult foes and complete their mission.
