Lego Battles

Lego Battles is a real-time strategy and action game developed by Hellbent Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, released for the Nintendo DS in 2009.

The game drops you into various Lego-themed scenarios where your primary goal is to conquer enemy bases or complete specific objectives using your minifigure army. You start with a small squad and must gather studs, the in-game currency, by breaking down environmental elements or defeating enemies. These studs are crucial for building structures like barracks to train more troops, defensive towers, and resource generators, or for constructing vehicles and special units.

What makes Lego Battles stand out is its blend of different Lego universes. You might find yourself pitting castle knights against space pirates, or seeing ninjas clash with World War II soldiers. The gameplay involves tactical movement of your units, strategic building placement to defend your territory and launch assaults, and direct control over your minifigures to attack or interact with the environment. Missions range from simple capture-the-flag style objectives to full-scale base destruction.

Players will manage their minifigure squads, directing them to attack, defend, or gather resources. The action unfolds on the dual screens of the DS, with the top screen often showing a larger view of the battlefield and the bottom screen providing tactical information and controls. Successfully completing missions unlocks new units, abilities, and further Lego worlds to explore and conquer with your forces.
