Inazuma Eleven

Inazuma Eleven is a sports role-playing game developed for the Nintendo DS.

You take on the role of Mark Evans, captain of the Raimon Junior High soccer team, which is struggling to stay afloat and faces being disbanded. Your primary goal is to rebuild the team from the ground up, recruit new players from across the school and beyond, and train them to compete and win the Football Frontier national tournament. The game blends exploration around the school campus and surrounding areas with character interactions and team management, all leading up to the crucial matches.

The actual soccer matches are controlled using the DS stylus on the touch screen. You'll direct your players to move, pass, and shoot by tapping and dragging on the field. When faced with an opponent or preparing to score, you can activate a variety of powerful 'Hissatsu' special moves, from electrifying dribbles to devastating shots. These moves require specific inputs and consume TP (Technique Points). Building your ultimate team involves scouting and recruiting over 400 unique characters, each with different stats and abilities, to form the strongest lineup for Inazuma Eleven.

This blend of RPG progression, team building, and real-time soccer action creates a distinctive gameplay loop where strategizing off the field is just as important as executing plays during a match.
