Hook

Hook is an action-adventure platformer released for the NES around 1992, published by Sony Imagesoft. It's based on the film of the same name, charting the journey of a grown-up Peter Pan who has forgotten his magical past.

In Hook, you control Peter Banning, who is drawn back into the world of Neverland when his children are abducted by the villainous Captain Hook. Your primary objective is to explore various parts of Neverland, battling pirates and other adversaries with Peter's sword. Throughout your quest, you'll also work to reclaim Peter's lost memories, often by finding specific items or reaching key points within the game's stages.

Tinkerbell provides some assistance during your adventure; she might offer a temporary shield or help uncover hidden pathways. The sword combat requires careful timing as you face off against pirate enemies. Progression in Hook involves completing levels, defeating boss characters, and piecing together Peter's forgotten history to eventually confront Captain Hook.
