Tomodachi is a life simulation series that began with the release of Tomodachi Collection in Japan for the Nintendo DS in 2009, later expanding globally with Tomodachi Life on the Nintendo 3DS in 2014.
The core of the Tomodachi experience revolves around creating and managing a community of Mii characters on a virtual island. In Tomodachi Collection, players could populate their island with up to 100 Mii residents, each with their own personality and desires. You’d watch as these Miis ate, slept, worked, and interacted, sometimes facing personal problems that they’d ask you to help solve.
