About the Kileak Series
Kileak is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up series that first appeared on the original PlayStation. The inaugural title, Kileak: The Moon Goddess, launched in 1994, followed by its sequel, Kileak: The Dark Age, in 1996, both cementing the series' presence on that console.
The original Kileak: The Moon Goddess threw players into the cockpit of a powerful mech, offering five distinct weapon types to master, including the potent Plasma Cannon and the wide-reaching Shotgun. Players navigated through challenging stages, facing off against unique alien formations and formidable bosses. The sequel, Kileak: The Dark Age, expanded the experience with a more involved narrative and a total of 12 stages to conquer across its modes, allowing players to pilot one of two different mechs.
In Kileak: The Moon Goddess, survival depended on skillfully dodging bullet patterns and strategically switching between your arsenal. Collectible power-ups would augment your chosen weapon, sometimes granting rapid-fire capabilities or increased projectile size. The enemy designs in the Kileak series often presented varied attack patterns, requiring quick reflexes to sidestep incoming fire from creatures like the 'Scarab Beetle' or larger, screen-filling adversaries.
