Founded in 1997 by Ryan Geithman, Snowblind Studios started their journey in the 64-bit era. Before they became famous for crafting isometric hack-and-slash RPGs, their breakout title was actually the highly regarded Nintendo 64 racing game, 'Top Gear Overdrive' (1998). This high-speed racer, praised for its graphics, weather effects, and grunge soundtrack, proved their technical prowess early on.
Their true legacy was cemented in the PlayStation 2 and Xbox era with the creation of the 'Snowblind Engine'. They revolutionized the console Action-RPG genre with 'Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance' (2001).
