Before focusing on original intellectual properties, Radical Entertainment delivered several well-received licensed titles that resonated with fans. The Simpsons: Road Rage and its significantly more popular successor, The Simpsons: Hit & Run, allowed players to explore a vibrant, interactive Springfield. In Hit & Run, players navigated the town completing missions that often involved high-speed chases, collectible gathering, and humorous interactions, all while staying true to the show's comedic tone. Later, the studio developed Hulk: Ultimate Destruction in 2005. This game gave players incredible freedom to smash through environments, letting them rip cars apart or use the Hulk's raw power to demolish buildings and enemies alike, focusing on emergent gameplay and player agency within large, destructible spaces.

The studio is perhaps best remembered for its work on the Prototype series. In the first Prototype, players took on the role of Alex Mercer, a shapeshifter with the ability to consume others and manifest various weapons from his own biomass. Navigating a dense, open-world urban environment, players could leap between buildings, glide through the air, and engage in intense combat using a wide array of evolved powers, from claw attacks to whip fists. The sequel, Prototype 2, continued this focus on fluid movement and visceral combat, allowing players to control James Heller and master different types of shapeshifting attacks against infected populations and military forces. These games emphasized player expression through their deep combat and traversal mechanics.
