In its early years, Delphine Software set industry standards in the 2D and 2.5D cinematic platformer genres with masterpieces like Another World (Out of This World) and Flashback. Flashback, in particular, became one of the best-selling games of its time, celebrated for its smooth hand-drawn rotoscoping animation and deep cyberpunk world-building.

As the industry transitioned into the 3D era, Delphine Software once again demonstrated its technological foresight by releasing Fade to Black in 1995, the acclaimed sequel to Flashback. As one of the earliest pioneers of fully 3D action-adventure games, it combined third-person shooting, environmental puzzle-solving, and breakthrough 3D polygon rendering, laying crucial groundwork for the future of the genre. Additionally, their Moto Racer series achieved massive commercial success in the racing genre.

Although Delphine Software closed its doors in 2004 due to the financial crisis of its parent company, their legacy in cinematic storytelling, early 3D exploration, and the creation of sci-fi classics like Fade to Black remains an indelible milestone in video game history.
